Odin and Lakmeer left the house and stood in the street. Odin was wearing leather armor as well and a sword at his hips. They stood there for a little while and looked at the sky, the stars were beautifully visible as there was no moon to disturb their beauty. After a while, Odin looked at him and said,” Scared?” Lakmeer did not say anything and only showed him his hands which were shaking. Odin shook his head in approval and said,” At least you are not as stupid as I thought you to be.” Lakmeer did not understand what he meant by it but followed him as he walked down the street.
They went from the same street as they had gone in the morning. But there was no one here at this time of the night, silence had conquered it and was ruling over the market, he felt the cold wind hit his face like a sharp sword and burn his face like fire. They reached the end, where he saw the castle. Odin gestured him to follow him and lay low. He went from near the walls of the houses to the walls of the city. He could see soldiers walking on the walls with torches in their hands. But the darkness veiled them from the sight of the soldiers.
When they reached the walls of the castle, Odin told him to step back. He took the hook from his shoulders, then took the rope and began to spin the hook after a while he let it go. The hook went high up the walls and stuck there. Odin tugged at it to check it safe to climb, the hook didn’t seem to move a bit and was stuck there solid. Odin took the rope and began to climb when he reached there a tugged the rope as a signal to tell him to climb. Lakmeer climbed after him. it was not as easy as it looked, not long after he had begun climbing his hands went numb and his shoulder began to pain, every muscle in his hands was shouting and cursing him. He didn’t let go and kept climbing until he reached on the walls, Odin helped him climb on the wall from the rope.
Odin nodded in approval, though his face was not visible Lakmeer could tell he was smiling so Lakmeer smiled back. The walked on the ramparts hiding themselves from the sentries. They found a way down and walked inside the castle. Then, from the stairs went down to the dungeons. There they saw a soldier sitting on a chair but he was sleeping. Odin went towards him slowly, just when the soldier woke up and looked at Odin yawning, Odin hit his head with the hilt of his sword. The soldier became unconscious, Odin put him back on his chair, took the keys from him and walked down the dungeons. There were cells on both sides of the dungeons, they all had someone in them. Odin brought the torch in his hands near each cell to see if it was Lykos, but none of them were Lykos. They check every cell but they found him in the last cell.
Odin checked three keys and the fourth one worked, the lock gave a click sound and they opened the bars. They walked inside, Lykos was standing tied in chains, his hands were in chains that were tied with the roof. He was naked and the scars on his body explained quite a lot. He seemed weak but he opened his eyes like he would after any sleep and looked at Lakmeer and Odin and said,” How foolish can you get?” Odin smiled and began to unchain him and said,” Don’t be so harsh on the boy, he has seen quite enough for one life.” When Lykos was out of chain he walked to the corner where his cloths and put them on.
He walked to Lakmeer and said,” I thought I told you to leave the city.” Lakmeer nodded and said,” Yes you did but I have been taught not to run away leaving the friends in danger.” Lykos looked at him for a while and then said,” If you two have no intention of getting caught then let’s leave before anyone comes.” They left the cells and walked down the dungeons, Lykos took the sword from the soldiers hips and hit him with the hilt for no reason at all. Lykos went first down the hook then it was Lakmeer and Odin the last. It wasn’t as hard as going up but still it was not as easy as walking. After coming down Lakmeer with his companions walked to the street hiding from the sentries on the walls. They walked close to the wall, using the darkness as their veil they reached the streets and walked towards the house.
